March Meeting: [Rescheduled] Career Panel Discussion – fun with data jobs and career searches

Let’s try this again! We will be meeting TITU on Tuesday, March 12th at 12 noon. This month we are making a second attempt at hosting an extra special treat. An esteemed career panel will be joining us for a Career Panel Discussion – fun with data jobs and career searches. If you have not already, review the panelist bios and submit questions for them here: https://datawonks.wisc.edu/career-panel/.

Here is a link to the event if you would like to add it to your calendar: https://go.wisc.edu/datawonks-event. Many thanks to JJ, Mary, Sarah, and Nick for presenting this month. The meeting is open to all who are able to make it out, and we encourage you to forward this invite to an aspiring data-wonk or anyone interested in the topic. We think this event is a great opportunity that many would appreciate.

The location should be Union South, but the room is TBD – so be sure to check TITU for those details. We have the room starting at 11:30am, so feel free to arrive a little early. Our “after-meetings” have been a great success and a terrific opportunity to network/catch-up. So, plan to join us for an optional 30-45 minutes of networking, questions, and more at 1pm in The Sett if you have the time.

A remote capture of the panel will be challenging without a/v support – but we will try. As always, here is the video conference link: https://go.wisc.edu/data-wonk-meeting-remote. If you plan to remote using a mobile device, this kb article might help: https://kb.wisc.edu/page.php?id=62052. You can also try phoning into the meeting at this number: 571-392-7650 PIN: 126 812 9338.

Let us know if you have any questions or issues with the links. I look forward to seeing you all next week!
